Union Minister for Environment, Forest and Climate Change Bhupender Yadav inaugurated Rajasthan’s first ‘Namo Biodiversity Park’ at Pratap Bandh in Alwar on Sunday, October 5,2025. marking a significant step towards strengthening the state’s green infrastructure. The inauguration ceremony included a symbolic tree plantation event and was attended by Rajasthan Cabinet Minister Sanjay Sharma. Speaking at the event, Yadav said that the newly developed park, named ‘Namo Van’, is envisioned as a vital green lung for the region. The park aims to enhance local greenery, improve air quality, and raise environmental awareness among visitors.The park is designed not just as an ecological initiative but also as a platform to inspire sustainable and environment-friendly lifestyles among citizens. Officials said it will play a key role in promoting biodiversity conservation, contributing to the broader goals of the Government’s climate action and ‘Green India’ vision. The initiative is expected to serve as a model for similar biodiversity and urban green projects across the state, reflecting India’s continued commitment to environmental sustainability and community-driven conservation.
