He appreciated all the frontline health care workers, scientists, vaccine manufacturers, Central and State Governments for their dedication and hard work in achieving this landmark feat.The Vice President also appealed to people, who have still not got their vaccine doses, to shed vaccine hesitancy and get themselves vaccinated.Naidu called upon everyone to come together and defeat Corona virus.Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya has congratulated the countrymen on the achievement of administering 100 crore doses of COVID vaccines. In a tweet, Mandaviya said that this is the result of the able leadership of visionary Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Home and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah has congratulated the nation for vaccinating over 100 crore people with the COVID-19 vaccine, under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Shah described it as a historic and proud moment.Defence Minister Rajnath Singh said that India has achieved a great success in the ongoing fight against COVID-19. In a video message, Singh said, under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, India has shown its resolve to achieve the target of administering 100 crore vaccination doses in a short span of time.
-Director-General of the World Health Organization, Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus has congratulated India for achieving the 100 crore vaccination mark. In a tweet, Mr Ghebreyesus congratulated Prime Minister Narendra Modi, scientists, health workers and people of India for efforts to protect the vulnerable populations from COVID 19 and achieve Vaccine Equity target.
-The Election Commission has issued advisory to political parties and contesting candidates for compliance of Model Code of Conduct (MCC) during bye elections. It has asked them not to organize any political activities directly related to the bye-elections even in the areas adjoining the district or constituency where the bye-election are being held. The Commission said, District Election Officers concerned will ensure that the Model Code of Conduct instructions and COVID guidelines relating to the norms of social distancing are followed in the districts adjoining to the poll going district or constituency.
-Union Minister Dr Jitendra Singh on Thursday interacted and felicitated first 20 All India Toppers of Civil Services Exam 2020, who called on him at North Block in Delhi. The result of the exam was declared recently.Dr Jitendra Singh said that it is encouraging to note that the top 20 candidates include ten female candidates and they also represent a pan-India coverage. These candidates hail from Bihar, Chandigarh, Delhi, Gujarat, Haryana, Jharkhand, Kerala, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Telangana and Uttar Pradesh. The Minister said that the demographic change both at gender and regional level in the last few years augurs well for a diverse country like India. A total of 761 candidates have been recommended by the Commission for appointment to various Services this year.
-Department of Posts, Delhi Circle said that special arrangements have been made for handling of Diwali, Christmas and New Year Greetings Mails. Special posting counters are being set up in 34 important Post Offices of Delhi and two Railway Mail Service. These are Delhi Railway Station and New Delhi Railway Station during this period. To avoid last minute rush, customers have been advised to post Diwali, Christmas and New Year Greetings well in time.
