Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav on Tuesday said that Kuno National Park has once again welcomed new cheetah cubs, with female cheetah Veera giving birth to two. Expressing joy over the upsurge in the population of cheetahs, he congratulated the state people and lauded the efforts of officers, doctors, and field staff involved in the conservation project. Sharing images of the two cubs on his official handle X, he wrote, "Kuno echoed again with the laughter of little cheetahs. 2 cheetah cubs entered the 'Jungle Book' of Madhya Pradesh. I am very happy to share this information that the number of cheetahs is constantly increasing in Madhya Pradesh."

He emphasised that Madhya Pradesh is now recognised as the "land of cheetahs" and highlighted how the increasing cheetah numbers are boosting tourism and employment opportunities in the state. "With the ever increasing population of cheetahs in the state, tourism in the state is getting a new boost, which is opening new doors for employment. We are always ready for the conservation, promotion, and restoration of all wildlife along with cheetahs, "he further added.
