Suvendu Adhikari is the BJP's choice to take Mamata Banerjee head-on in Nandigram.BJP on Saturday announced its list of candidates for the first two phases of the West Bengal Assembly elections to be held on March 27 and April 1. The much awaited list was released by BJP national general secretary Arun Singh in New Delhi at the party hq. The list has 57 candidates.BJP has fielded Ashok Dinda, Cricketer, from Moyna seat.
West Bengal's Debra constituency in West Midnapore district will see a fierce contest between two former senior police officers, one from the Trinamool Congress and the other from its rival Bharatiya Janata Party. Former Indian Police Service (IPS) officer Humayun Kabir, TMC will face BJP's Bharati Ghosh,a former IPS officer, from Debra. Ms Ghosh's name figure in the first list.
