Recently held assembly elections in Maharahtra and Haryana gave heavy dose of "Sanjeevini" to some opposition parties , especially Congress, NCP, JJP, SP and RJD. For Congress it is proved that old guards and state leaders are more effective than the national leaders. In Maharashtra , Sharad Pawar's extensive campaning give NCP and Congress an edge over the rivals. He was the one man army who was campaining for Congress and NCP both . Except Rahul Gandhi no other senior leaders of Congress went to Maharashtra for campaining . Same history was repeated in Haryana where Bhupinder Singh Hudda, ex- CM, alone sailed the Congress in a comfortable position. In Haryana the state president was removed when elections were announced. Experts sys that Congress should develope state leadership and remote control tendency should be stopped. They further said that only state leadership could revive Congress and if this is happen than days are not very far when Congress likely to be "Gandhi family mukt" party.
