It is mentioned in many stories that to pacify Shani Dev, one should worship Hanuman ji. Promised not to create trouble and said that if I come under the influence of transit in the first, fourth and eighth in any marriage-chakra, then I get suffering like death; But if a person worships me by making a statue of me, that too with a hymn composed by you, then I will not hurt him. From this, people started reading the hymn written by Dasharatha.
