The Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) on Monday announced its list of 143 candidates for the Bihar assembly polls, five of whom would end up contesting against nominees of the other INDIA bloc constituents. The list was released hours before the filing of nomination papers for the second and final phase was to be over.RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav will contest from the Raghopur assembly seat in Vaishali district.

Due to ongoing disputes within the Mahagathbandhan, the RJD had not released its candidate list until now. Even before releasing the official list, the party had allocated symbols to all its candidates. The RJD and the Congress unable to reach an understanding.
