Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Ministry said that nearly twelve thousand farmers from all over the country participated in Krishi Vigyan Mela organized by the Indian Agricultural Research Institute today. It said that more than eleven hundred quintals of Pusa seeds were also purchased on the second day of the mela. The ministry said that the fair is based on the theme “Self-reliant farmer with technical knowledge”. It said that the four technical sessions were delivered to farmers today. In these sessions, information about Smart agriculture, Natural Farming, Hydroponic and Aeroponic Agriculture has been provided to them. The Ministry said that more than one hundred ICAR Institutes, Krishi Vigyan Kendras and other institutes are showcasing advanced technologies through two hundred 25 stalls.
-Railways Ministry has said, revised results of all pay levels to be declared by the first week of next month. It said, second stage computer based test for pay level 6 to be held in May this year and second stage test for other pay level to be conducted after a reasonable gap. The Ministry added that computer based test for level one is planned to be held tentatively from July this year. Some candidates have raised concerns over the process of shortlisting of candidates for the second stage of the recruitment examination under Railways Recruitment Board' exam for Non-Technical Popular Categories. The Ministry has constituted a committee to examine the concern of the candidates in January this year. In a detailed notice, Railways Ministry has said, Railway's Committee addressed the concerns of candidates for Non Technical Popular Categories. The committee has decided that 20 times unique candidates will be shortlisted for Non Technical Popular Categories. The candidates already announced qualified will remain to be qualified. The Ministry said, the list of additional candidates getting shortlisted will be notified at each pay level.

-Tamil Nadu Government aims to achieve as a TB free state in 2025. In a media Sensitisation workshop held at Chennai on Thursda, the Additional Director of the Tuberculosis Eradication Department , Dr.Asha Fredrick said that the testing facilities have been increased in the rural and urban areas of the State. She said that awareness of the disease was the only way to remove the taboo and the stigma attached to the disease . Dr.Asha informed that mobile X-Ray vans are being used in the villages to screen the TB Patients. Community meetings, awareness in schools, colleges and workplaces are being undertaken as a part of the movement of a TB Free Tamil Nadu. The Consultant of the World Health Organisation Dr. Pirabhu said that molecular testing for tuberculosis and nucleic testing for TB has been done free of cost in 195 hospitals in the State. He said that every TB patient should be tested for HIV and diabetes as they pose a risk to the patient leading to sooner mortality. He informed that the State Government had planned a strategy to detect, Treat and prevent methodology to control the disease. He also said that anyone can access the TB Aarogya Sathi - an Android based app and Nikshay Sampark which is a toll free helpline for those affected by TB.
-Government of India, Government of West Bengal, and World Bank signed a 125 million dollar International bank for reconstruction and development, IBRD loan to support efforts to help poor and vulnerable groups access social protection services in West Bengal. West Bengal runs more than 400 programmes that provide social assistance, care services, and jobs. Most of these services are offered through an umbrella platform called Jai Bangla. The West Bengal Building State Capability for Inclusive Social Protection Project will support these interventions at the state level.
