The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) on Monday said its PSLV-C62 mission encountered an anomaly during the final phase of the third stage (PS3) of the launch, shortly after the rocket lifted off from the Satish Dhawan Space Centre (SDSC) in Sriharikota.
In a brief statement issued soon after the launch at 10.18 am, ISRO said a detailed analysis of the anomaly has been initiated. “The PSLV-C62 mission encountered an anomaly during the end of the PS3 stage. A detailed analysis is underway,” the space agency said.The Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle (PSLV) was carrying an earth observation satellite along with 14 co-passenger satellites when it took off from Sriharikota in Andhra Pradesh.

The mission marked ISRO’s first launch of the year and was being conducted under a commercial contract secured by NewSpace India Limited (NSIL), the commercial arm of the space agency.
