In Uttar Pradesh, Congress has started three Prtigya Yatras. General secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra on Saturday flagged off these yatras from Barabanki. The three yatras going in different routes -- from Barabanki to Bundelkhand, Saharanpur to Mathura and Varanasi to Rae Bareli -- will be taken out from October 23 to November 1. Addressing the gathering Ms Vadra announced farm loan waiver, 20 lakh government jobs, electricity bill waiver during pandemic, and a compensation Rs 25,000 thousand for Covid-19 victims if Congress is voted to power in UP. She also announced seven key promises of her party for the upcoming Uttar Pradesh Assembly election 2022. Apart from revealing 40% tickets for women candidates, the promises included free e-Scooty and mobile phones for school girls, farm loan waiver, financial relief to poor families and relief on electricity bills.
The yatra will cover 12,000 kilometres across the state. Various press conferences, 'nukkad sabhas', temple visits, roadshows, Jan Sabhas etc will be held during these rallies.
