PM Modi launches projects worth Rs 33,700 crore in Chhattisgarh

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday inaugurated, laid the foundation stone and dedicated development projects worth more than Rs 33,700 crores related to power, road, rail, oil & gas, education and housing at Mohbhatta in the Bilaspur district of Chhattisgarh. Addressing a public meeting on this occasion, the Prime Minister said that a new era of permanent peace is being seen in the Naxal-affected areas of Chhattisgarh.He said that roads, electricity and mobile network along with health and other facilities are being provided in the remote tribal areas of the state. In recent years, many schools have been reopened in Naxal-affected areas. Shri Modi said that the fate of Chhattisgarh is changing. The Prime Minister said that Dharti Aba Janjati Utkarsh Abhiyan has been started for the development of tribal areas. He alleged that the Congress people used to commit scams. Congress was never concerned about your life, your facilities, and your children, but we are taking the development schemes to every village of Chhattisgarh.

PM Modi distributed keys to beneficiaries under the PM Awas Yojana and also flagged off the MEMU train service on the Abhanpur-Raipur rail section and dedicated the complete electrification of the Indian Railways network in the state. PM Modi laid the foundation stone of NTPC's Sipat Super Thermal Power Project Stage-III (1x800MW) in Bilaspur, worth over Rs 9,790 crore. He also dedicated three power transmission projects of POWERGRID under the Western Region Expansion Scheme (WRES) worth over Rs 560 crore.
