Prime Minister Narendra Modi has emerged as the most popular leader worldwide. According to a US-based global leader approval tracker, Morning Consult Political Intelligence, Modi topped with 71 percent approval ratings among the 13 world leaders while US President, Joe Biden is ranked at number six with 43 percent rating. Joe Biden is followed by Canadian Prime Minister, Justin Trudeau with 43 percent and Australian Prime Minister, Scott Morrison at 41 percent approval ratings. British Prime Minister Boris Johnson, who has been facing criticism over the reports of him partying in the lockdown, has received a net approval rating of -43 as 69 per cent of respondents disapproved of the Conservative UK leader. The other leaders who have a net negative approval rating are Biden, Trudeau, Brazil’s Jair Bolsanaro, France’s Emmanuel Macron, South Korea’s Moon Jae-in, Australia’s Scott Morrison, and Spain’s Pedro Sachez. The ratings are based on a seven-day moving average of adult residents, with sample sizes varying by country.
Morning Consult Political Intelligence was founded in 2014 and has built a data collection technology platform. It accesses upwards of 100 million people globally to collect more than 15 million interviews in over 100 countries annually.Information and Broadcasting Minister, Anurag Thakur said, this achievement shows how effective Modi's policies, working style, and work done for the welfare of the poor are. He added that Indians are proud of it.
