Prime Minister Narendra Modi hosted prominent Sikhs across the country. During this meeting at his residence in New Delhi on Friday, February 18, 2022, Modi interacted with them. The prominent Sikhs who were hosted include President of Delhi Gurudwara Committee, Harmeet Singh Kalka, Padma Shri Baba Balbir Singh ji Sichewal, Baba Joga Singh of Dera Baba Jang Singh (Nanaksar) Karnal, Baba Jassa Singh of Shiromani Akali Budha Dal, Panjwa Takht and Jathedar Baba Sahib Singh Ji, Kar Sewa Anandpur Sahib. After the meeting, President Sewapanthi, Yamuna Nagar, Mahant Karamjit Singh lauded the Prime Minister for the government's initiatives for the Sikh community.President of Delhi Gurudwara Committee, Harmeet Singh Kalka also echoed the same views. President of Sikh Forum, New Delhi, Ravinder Singh Ahuja said, Modi has a good understanding of the Sikh religion.
