NDA alliance set to sweep Bihar Assembly 2025 polls

The NDA is heading toward a commanding victory in Bihar, leading in 191 seats well past the 122 majority mark according to official estimates. A poster in Patna declaring “Bihar Ka Matlab Nitish Kumar” has already appeared, reflecting growing confidence as the alliance looks set to return to power with a thumping mandate. The National Democratic Alliance (NDA) has taken a decisive lead in early trends on the basis of official counts as the vote tallying began for all 243 Assembly constituencies of Bihar.Trends at 11.45 am showed the NDA leading in 185 seats and the Mahagathbandhan on 54. The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) was leading in 85 seats.The Janata Dal (United) was ahead on 76 seats. On the opposition side, the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) was leading in 34 seats, while the Congress was ahead on 9 seats.Ironically the stategy man Prashant Kishore who formed his own party named Jan Sawaraj has misrebaly failed to open his account in the keenky contested Assembly election in Bihar 2025.Bihar voted in two phases on 6 and 11 November recording one of the highest voter turnouts in the state's electoral history.The majority mark in Bihar assembly is 122 seats. The ruling National Democratic Alliance (NDA) sought re-election, banking on the two-decade-long rule of Nitish Kumar in the state and the 11-year rule of the PM Modi government at the Centre. The Mahagathbandhan or INDIA bloc sought votes on the basis of anti-incumbency, misgovernance, and job promises.
