Market Sell- off :Sensex drops 800+ points, Nifty below 21,550

The domestic equity benchmark indices fell half a percent on Tuesday as investors chose caution ahead of the Interim Budget and Fed policy decision later this week.At close Sensex was down 801.67 points or 1.11 percent at 71,139.90 and the Nifty was down 215.50 points or 0.99 percent at 21,522.10.
Stocks and Sectors
Tata Motors, BPCL, Grasim Industries, Eicher Motors and SBI were the biggest gainers on the Nifty, while losers included Bajaj Finance, Titan Company, UltraTech Cement, NTPC and Reliance Industries.
On the sectoral front, except realty and PSU Bank, all other indices ended in the red with capital goods, FMCG, pharma and power down 0.5-1 percent.BSE Midcap index shed 0.5 percent and Smallcap index ended on a flat note.
On 30 Jan'24,the Indian rupee opened at 83.14 against the US dollar in early trade on Tuesday, amid a negative trend in domestic equities. Forex traders said the rupee was trading in a narrow range as rising crude oil prices weighed on investor sentiments.
Experts Take: 
Market experts have recommended six stocks to buy for Tuesday- Godrej Properties, Hero MotoCorp, NCC, Axis Bank, Castrol India, Dhampur Sugars.
