In Maharashtra, at least eight persons were killed in a blast at the Bhandara ordnance factory on Friday morning and rescue efforts are underway for 10 employees. According to Union Minister Nitin Gadkari, who is in Nagpur, said,in Bhandara, at the Ordnance Factory, a major mishap has taken place resulting in the death of eight people and injuries to seven others. Rescue and medical teams were deployed for survivors at the scene, a defence spokesperson said. District collector Sanjay Kolte said the explosion occurred around 10.30 am on the premises.
