On a complaint by Congress leader Sanjiv Kumar Singh, a Patna Court has ordered to file FIR angainst six people, including RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav and Misa Bharti, for allegedly accepting Rs 5 crore for a Lok Sabha ticket during the 2019 elections. In his complaint, Singh has alleged that he was promised a Lok Sabha ticket from Bhagalpur for the same. The complaint also mentions some leaders of Bihar Congress.
According to media report,Singh had filed a case in the Patna CJM court on August 18 this year, claiming that on January 15, 2019, said leaders allegedly took Rs 5 crore from him and promised him a Lok Sabha ticket from Bhagalpur. He further alleged that after not getting a ticket in the Lok Sabha elections, he was assured that he would get a ticket from the Mahagathbandhan in the 2020 assembly elections, but he did not get a ticket in the assembly elections either. After hearing the case, Chief Judicial Magistrate Vijay Kishore Singh on Saturday directed Patna SSP Upendra Sharma on September 16 to register a FIR against all the accused in the Kotwali police station.
Janata Dal (United) has hit out at RJD after the Patna court directed registering of FIR against Tejashwi Yadav and Misa Bharti. Former minister and JD(U) MLC Neeraj Kumar tweeted in Hindi, "It is said that results of anything bad is bad. The arms of law are very long. Those who trade tickets for money in the RJD...don't know how low can they stoop."

However, the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) has dismissed all allegations leveled against Tejashwi Yadav and Misa Bharti. "The person who has alleged that Rs 5 crore was given to Mahagathbandhan leaders is mentally unstable. The complainant wants to gain cheap popularity by leveling baseless celebration against Mahagathbandhan leaders", said RJD spokesperson Mrityunjay Tiwari RJD.
