India has condemned Pakistan Army Chief Asim Munir's threat of nuclear war. The Foreign Ministry noted that Nuclear sabre-rattling is Pakistan's stock-in-trade, as it reiterated that New Delhi will not give in to the blackmail. The Ministry said it was regrettable that Munir made remarks from the soil of a friendly third country, and stressed that India will continue to take all steps to safeguard its national security. "The international community can draw its own conclusions on the irresponsibility inherent in such remarks, which also reinforces the well-held doubts about the integrity of nuclear command and control in a state where the military is hand-in-glove with terrorist groups," the Ministry said in a statement. The ministry termed it “regrettable” that the comments were made from the soil of a friendly third country.
