Defence Minister Rajnath Singh has said that the 'new and powerful India' will give a befitting reply to any efforts made by neighbouring country to destabilise peace in India. He was addressing the Shaheed Samman Yatra in Uttarakhand's Pithoragarh. Defence Minister said "We have given a clear message to our neighbour on the western border that if it cross its limits, we will just not retaliate on the borders but can even cross over into its territory and do surgical and airstrikes. Without naming China, Singh said he must make it clear that if there is an attempt by any country in the world to "occupy even an inch of our land, India will give a fitting reply to it". Noting that everyone was aware of India's defining victory in 1971, Singh warned India's neighbours of not living under any delusion. Singh has said that there're 4 Dhams in Uttarakhand and after completing the construction of 'Sainya Dham’ it will be the fifth Dham of this hill state. He said that this Dham will have soil from martyrs' homes and names of martyrs & their villages will also be written in the 'Sainya Dham’ On this occasion, Defense Minister and Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami honored the martyr families with "Shaurya Samman Patra" and salute the bravery of the martyrs.
-Union Minister for Finance and Corporate Affairs Nirmala Sitharaman has reviewed the efforts made to develop the International Financial Services Centre (IFSC) at GIFT City in Gandhinagar as a gateway to global financial services for Indian corporates and cleared two proposals of International Financial Services Centres Authority (IFSCA).One of the proposals is related to the 269.05 cr rupees supervisory technology fund for It Infrastructure and the other is 200 cr rupees for headquarter building. During her day-long visit to GIFT city in Gujarath Saturday, she underlined that IFSC-related measures announced in the last year’s budget include tax holiday for capital gains for aircraft leasing companies, tax exemption for aircraft lease rentals paid to foreign lessors, tax incentive for relocating foreign funds in IFSC & exemption to investment divisions of foreign banks. She also inspected a 4.5 km-long underground utility tunnel at the City, which allowed GIFT city to be a “digging-free city” as all utilities run through the tunnel. The tunnel runs across the city for easy access at any point. The tunnel at GIFT City also accommodates all the utilities including power cables, raw water supply pipeline as well as treated water supply pipeline, ICT cables and automated waste collection pipeline.
-In Tamilnadu, a total of 124 men and 29 women Cadets of the Short Service Commissioned officers passed out from the Officers Training Academy Saturday. Sixteen men and nine women cadets from friendly foreign countries also completed their training period of eleven months. The parade was reviewed by Lt.General C.P.Mohanty, Vice Chief of Army Staff. who also presented the Sword of Honour and OTA gold medal to Cadet Siddhanth Sharma and Silver medal to Cadet Dimple Singh Bhati. The newly commissioned officers donning their ranks and regimental accoutrements, swore allegiance to the Country and the Constitution of India as they completed their training. The proud parents of the passing-out officer cadets attended the Pipping ceremony.
-Ministry of Textiles has decided to set up a Handloom Village at Moirang of Manipur. Minister of Textiles Piyush Goyal on Saturday said that the city- Moirang of Manipur is a very important place in the history of India's freedom movement. The Netaji Subhas Chandra led INA hoisted the tricolour flag at Moirang in its Imphal Campaign during the second World War. He said, an INA Museum is there at Moirang and tourists across the globe visit the Museum. To showcase the rich handloom products of Manipur and attract the tourists, the ministry decided to set up the Handloom Village there and work on it will be started very soon. The Chief Minister of Manipur N. Biren Singh accompanied the Union Minister on his visit.
-Reiterating its commitment to Protecting the Rights of Children, the Assam Police Headquarters and Guwahati Police Commissionerate ‘Goes Blue’ on World Children's Day 2021 on November 20. The ‘Go Blue’ campaign was started by UNICEF, the UN Agency that deals with Child Rights globally. Iconic landmarks across the world are illuminated in the colour Blue, expressing solidarity with the preservation of the rights of children across the world. The Police is the first contact point for children who are victims of crime and children who come in conflict with law. Therefore, the Police has a crucial role to play in protecting the rights of children who come in contact with the policing system. Child friendly handling and timely disposal of child-related cases can help children secure speedy justice, which is the absolute right of each and every child. The Assam Police Sishu Mitra Programme, which was launched in 2019, is one of the largest Child-friendly Policing programmes in India. Run jointly by the Assam Police, UNICEF and UTSAH Child Rights Org; is a result of the Assam Polices' commitment towards Child Rights.
