The Country's largest iron core producer National Mineral Development Corporation limited company under the Ministry of Steel has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with IIT Kharagpur for drone-based mineral exploration. The Corporation has been exploring minerals for a wide range of minerals like Copper, Rock Phosphate, Limestone, magnesite, Diamond, Tungsten, and Beach sands for six decades. This would be the first Central Public Sector Enterprise in the Country to conduct Drone-based geophysical surveys and hyperspectral studies for mineral exploration and is expected to open a new chapter and set a benchmark in the field of mineral exploration for the Country. NMDC is conducting exploration for various minerals in the State of Madhya Pradesh and also in the Beloda-Belmundi block in Chhattisgarh for Diamonds. It will also be the first to use Space Geophysics in Central Indian Diamond Province and the first to use online monitoring of exploration of data on the BHUVAN Platform. The collaboration would develop spectral products, methods, and algorithms for exploration using the Drone for mining. It would develop software spectral tools for mineral excavation and capacity-building programs on mining technology.

-35th International  Surajkund Crafts Mela was inaugurated by Haryana Governor Bandaru Dattatreya and Chief Minister Manohar Lal and Lieutenant Governor of Jammu Kashmir Manoj Sinha on Saturday.  Sinha joined the inauguration ceremony online. Haryana’s Tourism Minister Kanwar Pal, Ambassador of Uzbekistan, the partner country Mr  Dilshod  Akhatov, Union Minister of State Krishan Pal Gurjar and Haryana Cabinet Minister Moolchand Sharma also attended the inaugural ceremony. The fair, which is being organized after gap of two years due to Covid19, will continue till 4th of April. This time Jammu and Kashmir is the theme state of the mela. The fair is jointly hosted by the Surajkund Mela Authority and Haryana Tourism in collaboration with the Union Ministries of Tourism, Textiles, Culture, External Affairs and Government of Haryana,

-In his maiden address on the first day of the 13th Nagaland Legislative Assembly, NLA Budget Session on Saturday,  Nagaland Governor Prof. Jagdish Mukhi has said, several significant positive developments that have taken place in the past few years in the state. He expressed confidence, the long-cherished solution of Naga's Political Issue will soon become a reality. Governor Mukhi expressed pain over the unfortunate loss of 14 lives innocent lives in the Mon district due to firing by security forces which also seriously injured many others. He said that the SIT formed for investigating the matter has completed its investigation while the Army which constituted a Court of Inquiry in the matter is also expected it's complete its inquiry soon. 

-Nagaland Legislative Assembly (NLA)  has become the first in the country to have operationalised the National e-Vidhan Application (NeVA) programme. This was stated by NLA Speaker, Sharingan Longkumer during the first day of the the13th NLA Budget session which commenced . Longkumer said, E-Book installed in the NLA is the medium through which the member will be using NeVA application in the Assembly in pursuit of the paperless Assembly. He said, the E-Book remains inside the Assembly and is not meant to be removed from its placement position. Sharing his delight with the members of the House,  Longkumer said NLA  is the first in the country to have reached this important milestone of operationalising the NeVA system. He said, a similar system outside the framework of NeVA has been in operation in the State of Himachal Pradesh and similar efforts have been made by other State Assemblies. The NLA Speaker said, the  NeVA system has been a continuous effort initiated during the time of his predecessor former Speaker Dr. Chotisuh Sazo and expressed his happiness to participate and share the pride in the final implementation of NeVA system. He said, in the coming days, it will be scaling up to the full advantage of the e-Vidhan system in the Assembly’s functioning, achieving one of its targets of bringing about a Paperless Assembly.

-Vice President Venkaiah Naidu has said that with social and other tensions increasing in this strife-torn world, peace is the most essential prerequisite for humanity’s progress and the foundation of the South Asian Institute of Peace and Reconciliation shows a ray of hope.. Naidu iwas addressing a gathering on the inauguration function of the South-Asian Institute of Peace and Reconciliation in Dev Sanskriti University in Haridwar on Saturday. He said that India is a land of peace and that the simple cardinal principle for everyone to remember is ‘one cannot pay attention if there is tension’. It is true for everyone, be it an individual or society at large.. Naidu extolled the virtues of mother language. He said that we, as a nation must go back to our roots, know our own greatness, and understand the trove of treasures in our Vedas. He told that he studied in mother language, and reached till the post of Vice President. He gave the examples of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Justice of India NV Ramanna who studied in mother languages and reached high posts. Vice President said that he wants to see all government orders, school education, all court matters, and arguments in court including judgments, inter-personal communications carried out in their respective mother tongues.
