Superstar Shah Rukh Khan won the best actor and Rani Mukerji bagged the IIFA 2024 trophy of Best Actress while the Sandeep Reddy Vanga-directed "Animal" walked away with trophies in best picture, best director and supporting actor categories. Rani Mukherjee got the award in a leading role for bringing exceptional depth and emotion to her heart-wrenching portrayal in the film 'Mrs. Chatterjee vs. Norway'.

Rani Mukerji played the character of an immigrant mother, who fights against all odds to win back the custody of her children. She received the award on Saturday in Abu Dhabi. Neena Gupta, Jim Sarbh and Bengali actor Anirban Bhattacharya played pivotal roles in the film. In the acting categories, Shah Rukh Khan took home the Best Actor trophy for his powerful performance in Jawan.
