Anuraadha Tewari, who wrote the Story and Screenplay for movies like Fashion, Heroine, and Jail, feels people should take a two- to three-day holiday to break the monotony of life. She feels it is very important to refresh and rejuvenate to bring out one’s true potential.“I think it is sacrosanct to take 2-3 day breaks from your normal routine. To me, it's a way of life and has been for the last 20 years because, especially as a writer or creative person, you're into a project, into a flow. It is so important to take a break because it's a change of energy. Like there's a saying, ‘hawa-paani change karna’. It's when you break that routine and break the flow that you actually find the new flow. So I do that all the time. Everybody knows I'm a huge traveller. I take two international destinations a year, but I take a 2-3-day break every single month because I find myself dysfunctional without it,” she said.
“I've been an avid traveler for the last nearly 30 years and been to 53 countries. I have 2 kinds of holidays, one a break and one a full blown holiday. In both cases my main requirement is that of a pretty, vibrant and a nature-driven place. So I decide at that point what I need—do I need sea, mountain, or forest? I decide based on my mood. Sometimes I need all three, but I pick a place accordingly. It brings new people and cultures into my life. I do keep telling people who are always planning to go on holidays but rarely do, the first thing is to book the tickets, or make a free reservation for a hotel. The moment you book something and make a serious commitment to your plan, it happens,” she added like a true Travel Guru.
Speaking of taking a break in her profession, she feels that as a writer, it becomes imperative to go on holiday, even if it is for a few days, because writers hit a creative block. She added, “I try to go to a new place each time for fresh energy and discovery.”But yes, she agrees that even when on a break, people are still connected to others because of mobile phones. “There are times when I'm most available on my phone, even when I'm on a break. But for me, there are two kinds of such breaks. There are some breaks where I'm actually writing. So, it's just a break from Mumbai and from my regular routine, but I'm writing in a new environment. So, I'm most accessible on my phone, and all devices that allow video calls because, well, I'm still at work. I can be working from Antarctica if I have to be,” she said.
And then there are a few breaks where I'm recovering and when I'm recharging. Those are the times when my phone is not really off, but you must know my phone has been permanently silent for the last eight years. So, in that sense, I only take the calls I want to, and in fact, those are the breaks I choose to connect to only when I want to. And in fact, those are the breaks I don't take my laptop along with. So, it's the break from the laptop, actually, more than anything else,” she added.Anuraadha firmly believes that people these days avoid taking breaks because of their professional commitments and competition.Anuraadha even described her ideal vacation and said, “It is when you are not a slave to your phone, and it takes a little bit of courage because it's actually like almost cutting off from an invisible umbilical cord, the sort of mother core center of some sort of energy that you think you're always part of. So, it does take you some conditioning to break out of that, but I think that's what vacations and those breaks are all about—to recharge your batteries.”

Singer Vaishali made speaks about her next music video Joy Bheem, dedicated to Bharat Ratna Dr. B. R. Ambedkar

Singer Vaishali Made, who rose to fame with her captivating vocals in hits like "Pinga" and "Fitoori" from the blockbuster movie Bajirao Mastani, and "Ghar More Pardesiya" from Kalank, is ready with her next music video titled Joy Bheem. The video is dedicated to Bharat Ratna Dr. B. R. Ambedkar. Sharing details about the song, she says, "This is perhaps the first of its kind in India where we're experimenting by creating a Lavani, dedicated to Bharat Ratna Dr. B. R. Ambedkar. Many well-known inspirational and devotional songs have been dedicated to him so far, however, this will be the first time that the folk music style of Maharashtra, specifically Lavani, will be used. A close friend of mine Vishal Jadhav composed this piece for me and also wrote the lyrics. The whole experience of this song is incredible.”
She also adds, "My good friend Megha Ghadke has danced in this Lavani. We have a large team, and they've done a fantastic job with this project. We shot this video in Madh Island.” She also adds, As I have mentioned, Lavani will be used to pay homage and tribute to Baba Saheb Ambedkar, which makes us immensely proud. It's an important experiment for us and we're very happy about it. This journey is special to me because I always feel a strong connection with Baba Saheb Ambedkar and often create songs dedicated to him. This song is particularly unique and meaningful."The music video is releasing on 5th April.
Somy Ali: I picked a career which will definitely give me joy

Actress Somy Ali says that the fact that she saves and rehabilitates women and children through her US-based NGO No More Tears, gives her abundant happiness. She adds that protecting victims of domestic violence and rape gives her an unparalleled sense of joy, that nothing else can. “Happiness is given to us in doses, like medicine, and, at times, it heals us for a long time while other times it's literally for milliseconds and comes with side effects. My happiness is solely based on helping others and please understand that there are no selfless deeds. I help others because it brings me joy, therefore, it is not an altruistic deed. Even people who help anonymously are aware of what they are doing and it brings them satisfaction which conclusively makes them feel good about themselves."
She says that it is important to give back to society if we want to be happy ourselves. “I strongly believe that if we are blessed in the slightest it is our duty to give back and that's been my mantra since I was a child. I decided to pick a career which I know will bring me joy therefore my happiness is contingent on helping those in need. So, if one asks me in a perfect world what would I like to see, I would say that every human being with scruples, ethics, a moral compass, and less selfishness. Is that a logical request? I don't know,” she says.
She adds, “When I look around the world even outside of my NGO, it proves the complete opposite. There are lives being taken of many children, men and women over religion, land and money. That's not a perfect world in my eyes by any means and this isn't a new phenomena because it's been there since evolution. Point being, my lens shows me a different world as many others carry prescriptions of various lenses which show them a different world.”
Sachin Parikh: Revealing details on social media might give you instant fame, but so would your talent

While social media seems to have become an ideal place for celebrities to reveal spicy details about their personal lives, potential controversies, and steamy anecdotes, actor Sachin Parikh says that the audience’s focus should be also on your talent and not only on your personal life. He adds that it is important to balance what you reveal, and what you hide.
“Shielding your personal life from the public eye can be quite tricky. I would say it's an occupational hazard at times. Once you are a public figure, you need to know what to protect and what to reveal about yourself. In fact, it all boils down to how you deal with the media, your fans and paparazzi wherever you go. The true test comes when you need to balance what to reveal and when to protect your personal time. You can't disappoint your fans and audience and at the same time can't mess up spending personal time with your loved ones and your family, away from the public glare,” says Sachin, who was recently seen in Ravi Yadav’s Main Atal Hoon. Sachin has been part of PK, Aligarh, Dil Toh Baccha Hai Ji and Jack & Dil and OTT series like Crackdown 2 and Avroadh2.
Ask him how he decides what to reveal and what to not, he says, “I am a private person by nature and I restrain myself while revealing details about my personal life. But I also make sure to give my fans everything that they want to know about me. As an actor, my daily routines, my diet, my time management, my travel and holidays with family are out on social media. I feel it motivates and inspires people to live life with zest and enthusiasm. But when it comes to my personal struggles, difficult situations, personal disputes with friends and family, I make sure to not bring it out in the open.” If at all my family and friends do not want them to reveal, their discreteness is of utmost importance.
He adds, “Social media has changed the scenario completely. Tweets to emojis, everything is on your finger tips. Smartphones are handy and so are our personal lives. Recently, we saw Alia and Ranbir bringing their cute little angel, Raha, in front of the paparazzi. Such couples set benchmarks at times to others how they deal with the media.”
He says that social media can change the game for you, but it is for you to decide what to post about. “I feel revealing too much on social media may give you that instant fame or publicity, and definitely add to your popularity; but nothing bigger than your work, and that can help you become much more popular. That's organic and is also long term. The process may be slow and take years to build, but that's the only way out. Irfaan khan, Pankaj Tripathi, Nawazuddin and so many such actors are examples of those who are popular and how but their struggles and body of work is a process which has made them popular today. Every good thing takes time,” he adds.
Talking about who he looks up to in this field, he says, “Paresh Rawal is one actor I am acquainted with and have known since my childhood, we all have seen his journey as an actor. I have seen his both personal and professional life, and he really inspires me to handle such things with ease.”
