Home Secretary Ajay Kumar Bhalla gets one-year extension

Union home secretary Ajay Kumar Bhalla to continue for one more year,He has been given year extension beyond the present tenure. A DoPT order, issued on Thursday said the ACC has cleared the proposal in this regard. Now he will remain as home secretary till August 22, 2022. The government has already given the one year extension to the Cabinet Secretary Rajiv Gauba. Bhalla, a 1984 batch IAS officer of Assam-Meghalaya cadre, was appointed as the Home Secretary in August 2019. His two years term was going to expire on August 22 this month.
