Election Commission releases final voter list in Bihar

The Election Commission on Tuesday announced that it has come out with the "final electoral roll" in Bihar, taking into account all the claims and objections to the draft lists, which were published as part of special intensive revision (SIR). Ahead of the assembly elections, the Chief Electoral Officer in Bihar made the announcement on social media, tagging the Election Commission of India. "In the light of Special Intensive Revision, the final electoral roll has been published on 30.09. 2025. People can look up their names by clicking on the link voters.eci.gov.in," said the social media post.

Patna administration shares revised list across 14 seats. As per the revised list, the total number of electors stands at 48,15,294 across 14 assembly constituencies in Patna. This is 1,63,600 more than the total number of electors included in the draft list published on August 1, the district administration said.

On October 3, a briefing will be held for general, police and expenditure observers to prepare them for the task ahead. The current term of the 243-member Bihar Assembly expires on November 22.
