An earthquake measuring 6.1 Magnitude with its epicenter in Sindhupalchowk struck large parts of Nepal early morning Friday. According to the National Earthquake Monitoring and Research Center, the earthquake was recorded at 2:51 AM with Bhairab Kunda area of Sindhupalchowk district as its epicenter. The earthquake occurred in Bagmati Province, about 189 km north of Muzaffarpur in Bihar. There have been no immediate reports of damage or casualties. The region, known for past seismic activity, frequently experiences minor tremors. Tremors felt in Bihar, Siliguri, and other neighbouring areas in India, according to the National Earthquake Monitoring and Research Centre. India's National Centre for Seismology estimated it at 5.5.
