The Form of Maa Kaalratri-
On the seventh day of Navratri, the seventh form of Goddess Durga, Maa Kaalratri, is worshipped. As her name suggests, her complexion is as dark as the dense night. Her hair remains disheveled, and she is adorned with a garland that sparkles like lightning.
Her three eyes are vast and round like the universe, radiating beams of lightning. From her breath emerge terrible flames of fire.
The upper right hand is in Varada Mudra (boon-giving gesture), blessing her devotees.
The lower right hand is in Abhaya Mudra (fear-dispelling gesture), protecting devotees from fear.
In her upper left hand, she holds a sword, and in the lower left hand, she holds a severed head.
Although her appearance is fierce and terrifying, she is called Shubhankari, the one who grants auspiciousness. Therefore, devotees should not be afraid of this form.
Significance of Worship -
The worship of Maa Kaalratri elevates the devotee’s consciousness to the Sahasrara Chakra.
With proper worship, prayers, and devotion, the doors to all spiritual powers open naturally.
Through her worship—
One attains virtue (punya).
All planetary obstacles are removed.
Fear of fire, water, enemies, or the night ceases to exist.
The devotee becomes fearless and free from anxiety.
Method of Worship
The idol of the Goddess should be placed on a wooden platform. Devotees should worship her with pure devotion, visualizing her divine form within the heart.
Purity of mind, speech, and body is essential during the rituals.
Since the Goddess is Shubhankari, her worship must always be performed with noble thoughts and a pure heart.

On the seventh day, offering jaggery (gud) as naivedya to Maa Kaalratri and donating jaggery to a Brahmin is considered highly auspicious.
This ritual frees the devotee from all sorrows and blesses life with peace and happiness.
Shubham Bhavatu (May it be auspicious for all)
