Oil prices climbed around 2 per cent on Tuesday, reaching their highest level in a month.

The domestic share market ended lower on Tuesday, weighed down by a rise in crude oil prices following escalating geopolitical tensions in the Middle East and weak global market cues.

The domestic share market ended in green in a volatile session on Monday, followed by gains in information technology stocks.

India's retail inflation, measured by the Consumer Price Index (CPI), rose to 4.38 per cent in June 2026 from 3.93 per cent in May, primarily due to a rise in food prices, according to provisional data released by  (MoSPI) on Monday.
