The polling for the By-Polls to three Lok Sabha and 29 Assembly seats spread over 13 states ends peacefully on Saturday. Lok Sabha By-Polls held for Khandwa Lok Sabha Constituency in Madhya Pradesh, Mandi in Himachal Pradesh and Dadra and Nagar Haveli.The elections to the LS seats were necessitated following the deaths of the sitting members. The Bye-Elections for 29 Assembly seats held in 13 states including Assam, West Bengal, Madhya Pradesh, Himachal Pradesh, Bihar, Karnataka, Haryana and Maharashtra.According to reports most of the states recorded over 60 per cent voter turnout.
In Nagaland, the candidate of Nationalist Democratic Progressive Party (NDPP) S. Keoshu Yimchunger of Sangphur village was earlier declared elected uncontested to the Shamator-Chessore Assembly Constituency.
