The BJP on Thursday released a list of 148 candidates for the remaing fifth , sixth, seventh, and eighth phases of the upcoming West Bengal assembly elections. The list include name of party's national vice-president Mukul Roy, who will contest the polls from the Krishnanagar Uttar seat. The other prominent faces that feature in this list include Rahul Sinha and Asim Sarkar. Besides them, the list also has 11 MLAs and one MP. Mukul Roy's son, Subhranshu, who had joined the BJP in 2019, is contesting the elections from the Bijpur constituency in North 24 Parganas. He had won the seat for the TMC both in 2011 and 2016.
