The BJP-Punjab Lok Congress-Shiromani Akali Dal (Sanyukt) alliance released its manifesto for Punjab Assembly election in Jalandhar on Saturday. Releasing the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) alliance’s manifesto, Union Minister Hardeep Puri said, "Punjab is a very sensitive border state and it is important for the state to have people in power who themselves are stable." Hoshiarpur MP Som Prakash, and other senior BJP leaders were also present.
Meanwhile, Veteran Shiromani Akali Dal leader and former MLA from Jandiala Guru S. Ajaypal Singh Mirankot, Sarabjit Singh Sonu Jandiala and Paramjit Singh joined the Congress party along with their entire team. Assembly elections in Punjab will be held on February 20 and the counting of votes will be held on March 10.
