In Bihar, all Covid-19 related restrictions will be lifted from February 14 in view of significant decline in Covid-19 surge in the state. The decision was taken in the meeting of the Crisis Management Group (CMG) chaired by Chief Minister Nitish Kumar in Patna. The CMG reviewed the situation of pandemic in the state. Briefing media about decisions taken in the CMG meeting, the Home Secretary Jitendra Shrivastava said that all schools, Colleges, Coaching institutes have been allowed to operate with full attendance. Presently schools from primary to eight standards are functioning with 50 percent capacity.
He said public transport vehicles, parks, cinema halls, clubs, gymnasiums, malls, shops, parks, zoo, government and private offices have been allowed to operate with 100 percent capacity but Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) has to be maintained in all these.The Secretary said all restrictions related to the number of guests in marriages, funerals, and last rites will be lifted from Monday February 14. The Covid-19 recovery rate has reached 98.36 percent in Bihar. The CM said that district administrations have been empowered to impose nacessary restrictions based on the situation within their jurisdictions.
