Barbora Krejcikova of Czech Republic has won the Women's Singles French Open title by defeating 31st seeded Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova of Russia 6-1, 2-6, 6-4. She lifted the prestigious Roland Garros trophy after a two-hour-long final. Pavlyuchenkova, who played her first major final in her 52nd appearance, bounced back in the second set but failed to keep her momentum going till the very end. This was only the fifth major tournament in singles for Krejcikova, a 25-year-old from the Czech Republic.
