She is known to be a true trendsetter in this department and that's why, anything that she attempts from her end becomes a style and fashion statement like never before. Yes, that's right. In one of her latest snaps on Instagram, Urvashi Rautela can be seen setting the oomph game on fire with her golden swimsuit avatar. The transparent and semi-through midi-layered cardigan coverup is making us feel the heat for real. Given the kind of heat we all are dealing with, this is certainly the kind of fashion and swag women must follow in order to get the better of the heat while simultaneously keeping your high-chic vogue game stronger than ever before. Also, no brownie points for guessing that when it's Urvashi, it has to be ultra-luxurious and lavish. As always, her caption was on point in terms of engaging her loyal legion of fans in the best way possible and what better a track than Vigdiyan Heeran to match the vibe of the outfit? Also, any guesses what's the cost of the whole look folks? A whopping 5 lakhs and that's certainly why, Urvashi in today's time is a quintessential example of a B-Town icon who inspires the youth towards the right direction.

When you're part of a long-running TV show, you learn a lot: Alisha Parveen

Alisha Parveen, who plays Aliya Randhawa in Ravie Dubey and Sargun Mehta’s Udaariyaan, which is produced under their banner Dreamiyata Entertainment Private Limited, is happy to be working on TV. She says working on TV gives an actor the opportunity to evolve. “When you're part of a long-running TV show, you learn a lot. I remember not performing well on my first day, but now I feel like I know Aalia inside and out. It's all about growth and learning, and I cherish the bonds we've formed with everyone on set,” she said.
Asked how she manages her personal time along with the schedule of a daily soap, she said, “We rarely get time off due to daily telecasts. Since our time slots have changed, there is more pressure. Whenever we do get a break, I really enjoy my day, sleeping in late and indulging in my love for cooking.” “As my co-actors and I live nearby, I often invite them over. Chandigarh is a beautiful city, and during my time off, I love to explore it. Since we are away from our families, our co-actors have become like a second family, and I enjoy spending my holidays with them,” she added.
But when it comes to night shoots, she prefers them more in the summer season.“We've had night shoots, and I remember shooting for 24 hours straight, so of course, sleep was not complete, and health issues arose. It wasn't just us; the entire unit faced challenges. Currently, we have more structured shooting schedules, and while I generally enjoy night shoots, I prefer them less in winter. During winter, we've shot until 2-3 am, but I enjoy night shoots more in the summer when we finish around 11–12 at night,” she concluded.

Hemani Chawla: Not everybody can do TV, requires lot of mental, physical strength

Actress Hemani Chawla, who plays the role of Kasturi in Invictus T Mediaworks’ Dabangii: Mulgi Aayi Re Aayi, says that working in a daily soap is far from easy. The actress adds that it’s only her passion to act on screen that helps her get through her hectic day. “It is true that working in TV can be exhausting. I have worked for three days nonstop, with barely any sleep or food. I can’t speak for others, but I truly love what I do, and maybe that’s the reason it keeps me going. Managing personal life is always a task. Sometimes getting back to reality is tough because your brain and body have given up on you. But the funny story is, when I have a break of more than one day, I also go crazy. I have that feeling of going back on set and doing what I love, which is acting in front of the camera. I guess that’s what keeps me going even today,” she says. She adds, “Night shoots are no fun because they can affect your sleep cycle completely. The next day, I became like a zombie. I don’t specifically do anything about it. If I am required to do night shifts, I stick to it because I feel I am a very committed actor. For me, sleep, food, and everything else are secondary. Once I am assigned to a project, I make sure I give my blood, sweat, and sleep to it.”
A daily soap means a daily grind, she says, especially in the summers. “Usually, you get more tired because of the heat. There is a lack of motivation sometimes, I am being honest, physically, not mentally. In this season of heat, I try to maintain a healthy and light diet. I eat fruits every morning, avoid the food that comes on set, and try to keep it light because I think the majority of what you face in the entire day depends on your diet. So yes, an apple a day keeps your laziness away.”
The actress adds that people require a lot of resilience to work on TV. “Well, not everybody can do TV. This medium requires a lot of physical and mental strength. Also, there is no proper planning or system when it comes to TV. In films and web series, you know you have to surrender and push yourself for a month or maybe two, but when it comes to TV, due to the lack of planning or having a system, it genuinely gets tough. Also, I complain less because the cheques keep coming in,” she says.
However, there are still some actors who don’t like to be known as TV actors. However, Hemani isn’t one of them. “I guess it is very disrespectful if they judge TV actors or look down upon them. I feel it shows their double standards. TV is a very respectable medium; the reach of TV is almost like films, not comparing the stardom but just the pure reach. And I genuinely feel whatever I have learned from TV and also doing TV is extremely difficult. Keeping others aside, I wear this label like a crown,” she says.
Talking about the best part of working on TV, she says, “I have always been fond of working in TV. I have seen some actors complaining about getting out of TV and moving into films, but I am the opposite. I want to do TV my entire life. Firstly, there is a constant connection with your audience daily. Secondly, it gave me a lot of financial stability. And thirdly, there is less uncertainty compared to films and web shows.”

If there is a good ensemble and storyline.. Kanwar Dhillon

Kanwar Dhillon, who is seen as Sachin in Udne Ki Aasha, which is produced by Rahul Kumar Tewary in collaboration with Rolling Tales Production, says the audience has found its connection with the show. He credits the storyline and the amazing star cast of Udne Ko Aasha for the same.He said, “The show has a lot of high-voltage drama, and the audience definitely loves it. The drama is not always through one character's lens; it is from a different perspective that the drama runs in the show. There is a good ensemble and storyline, and the audience is bound to find a connection with the show and characters. Almost after 50 episodes of being on air, the audience has found their connection with the show.”
He also shared that the response to the show has been great, and added, “Udne Ki Aasha is nothing but a platter full of entertainment with a good storyline, and it has found its place in the audience's heart.I am really happy about it, that the show is consistently doing well in the ratings, despite the IPL fever being at its peak.” Kanwar also thanked the fans and the viewers for loving Sachin and Sailee’s chemistry. “They are in love with Sachin and Sailee, and now that both of them have gotten married in the show, fans are expecting a lot of drama, and we will give them that because we have shot some amazing sequences. It is good to see the show in the top 5 this week, and it is good to see that it was trending on Twitter, and I was trending on Twitter. So, social media is going great, and I am happy people are loving Sachin,” he said.
What about your family’s reaction? “My family members are my first critics because their feedback doesn't have any filters. If they like something, they tell me to my face, and if they don’t, they do. With this show, my family and friends are hooked on not just watching the episodes, but they also watch it later on Hotstar, so it’s a good sign,” he said.Kanwar also said that he is happy to be surrounded by such fabulous co-actors who support and uplift each other. He said, “We have a good mix of people in the cast, and it’s fun when we all are shooting together.”
Any interesting shooting incidents? “One incident that will always remain special is my last schedule in Virar at Siddhi Vinayak Temple, which is also where we began our shoot schedule. There, I was also surrounded by a lot of Pandya Store fans. But the last few times we have been to that location and shot, it’s good to know that the same people have started meeting me and giving me responses for Udne Ki Aasha and for playing Sachin. That, for me, is very special because I was waiting for personal feedback from people,” he said.Kanwar is now excited for the audience to see the different shades of Sachin and also explore the new side of his life with Sailee. “I, as an actor, am also excited to explore that side of Sachin and portray different shades of him. I am excited to shoot for the upcoming sequences, and there is a lot ahead in store,” he ended.

How Movers and Shakers made an impactful difference in Janani Ai-Ki Kahani?

Producing late night talk show Movers and Shakers and also being the creative director for it changed his life, says director-producer Abhigyan Jha who has made a name for himself in the entertainment industry. Abhigyan, who has written the stories of many films such as Krishna Cottage and Phir Zindagi, as well TV shows Tum Bin Jaaoon Kahaan and also his debut film Sacred Evil – A True Story, says that his journey has been nothing short of a miracle.
“The biggest landmark in my career is Movers and Shakers, that show changed everything. Before that none of the non-fiction shows was ever that big. The show was such a hit it brought so much business 25-26 years back. It was the first show that went five days a week, I had a team of 40 people under me. Movers and Shakers started as a weekly episode and gradually twice, thrice a week, and by the time we reached the 78th episode, it was 5 times a week. We had Sushma Swaraj once on the show where she said that PM Atalji used to watch the show, and liked the bits where we used to make fun of him. No one ever got such an endorsement for any show ever. That was a game changer for me and it made a big difference in my career. Once you have been endorsed by someone if Atalji's stature..I couldn't go back to doing mundane mediocre stuff.
We had been given a 10 pm slot for Movers and Shakers which was the first show that ever aired on a 10 pm slot because no shows were aired at 10:10 pm. It was the first-ever late-night show,” he says.He adds that the show taught him a lot as well. “I learnt that whatever I have to do, I should do it with conviction. Another landmark in my career was when I left TV for a long time and started working in films. This was at the end of 2002, the era of channel interference had started. I was doing Krishna Arjun and Avinash IPS. I left both the shows and I said I would now do films. I signed my first film as a director in two years. One of the films I wrote was Krishna Cottage under Ekta Kapoor's banner and after that, I made my film which starred actors from the UK and France and was shot by a French cinematographer in English and Hindi named Sacred Evil - A True Story. It was made by Sahara One Motion Pictures and won the Golden Palm at the Mexico International Film Festival in 2010,” he says. On being asked about directing Janani- AI- Ki Kahani he says, "It is a unique show so the experience is unique too. The response has been fabulous so far".
