Union Health Minister Harsh Vardhan said that the coronavirus vaccine is safe, Harsh Vardhan urged people to not pay heed to the anti-vaccine rumours. The vaccines will be given in the first phase to 3 crore people who have been on the frontline in the fight against coronavirus, Health Minister Harsh Vardhan said on Saturday. The government will give priority to 1 crore healthcare workers and 2 crore frontline workers when India begins the rollout of the vaccine. Harsh Vardhan later took to Twitter and said the free vaccine will be provided across the nation to one crore healthcare and two crore frontline workers.

On Saturday pan-India dry run was conducted after the exercise was carried out on December 28 and 29 across four states of Andhra Pradesh, Assam, Gujarat and Punjab. The day-long activity will cover the capitals of all states and Union territories as the country gears up for the launch of what will be the world’s largest immunisation drive.
