But finally, Pradeep Kumar stepped in the role of Salim.
Bina Rai, who was the wife of actor Prem Nath, acted as Anarkali.
Hemant Kumar sang this song brilliantly.

Though Mughal-e-Azam’s shooting on the same subject had started but it took 10 years to complete, but Anarkali was released.
In the meantime, it became a superhit too.
