Producer Sourav Gupta accuses Sunny Deol of cheating, criminal breach of trust and forgery

Renowned producer Sourav Gupta announced a series of unfortunate events and serious allegations concerning Bollywood star Sunny Deol, who was signed as the main hero for the film back in 2016.Gupta levelled thaes allegation at a press conference was addressed by him, Director Suneel Darshan along with Adv Ashok Saraogi and Advocate Jay Yadav.
Gupta alleged that in 2016,he signed Sunny Deol to star in his film, paying a substantial signing amount of INR 1 crore. However, Sunny Deol failed to fulfil his contractual obligations and did not participate in the film's production as initially agreed. This marked the beginning of a protracted series of delays and complications.By 2019, Sunny Deol, along with his associates, suggested that the original film concept had become outdated. They proposed a new director and writer, but once again, Sunny Deol rejected the script, causing further delays in the project. Despite these setbacks, Sourav Gupta remained committed to producing the film.
In April 2023, Sunny Deol approached Sourav Gupta with a new idea inspired by the landmark Ayodhya Ram Temple judgment. Sunny Deol suggested producing a film based on the life of the advocate who played a pivotal role in the case, ultimately succeeding in the Supreme Court. Sunny Deol insisted on changing the writer and director once more but continued to delay the project. Eventually, Sunny Deol informed Sourav Gupta that producing a film on this subject was not feasible.
These actions led to significant financial losses and allegations of deceit and misconduct. Sourav Gupta has accused Sunny Deol and his associates of conspiring to defraud him, committing forgery by altering the pages of the signed agreement, and engaging in criminal breach of trust and cheating.The producers have documented evidence of all payments made and are contemplating legal action against Sunny Deol and his associates for the substantial financial and professional damages incurred.
