PM Modi to inaugurate Noida International Airport on March 28

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate  the Noida International Airport on Saturday at Jewar in UP's Gautan Budh Nagar district. Developed as one of India’s largest greenfield airport projects, Phase I of the airport has been built at an estimated cost of Rs11,200 crore under a Public–Private Partnership (PPP) model. PM Modi on Friday shared photographs of the Noida International Airport ahead of its inauguration, describing it as a major boost to connectivity in the National Capital Region (NCR).Designed as a net-zero emissions facility, the airport integrates energy-efficient systems and environmentally sustainable practices. Its architecture draws inspiration from Indian heritage, incorporating elements reminiscent of traditional ghats and havelis, blending cultural aesthetics with modern infrastructure.

The launch of the Noida International Airport marks a significant step in India’s efforts to strengthen its aviation infrastructure and emerge as a global aviation hub.Strategically located along the Yamuna Expressway, the airport is being developed as a multi-modal transport hub, with seamless connectivity across road, rail, metro, and regional transit networks to facilitate efficient passenger and cargo movement.
