In Bihar, the Samrat Choudhary-led NDA government won the vote of confidence in the state assembly on Friday. Choudhary moved the motion, proposing that "the House reposes its trust in the current council of ministers in the state", during a one-day special session. The motion was passed by a voice vote in the 243-strong House, where the BJP-led NDA enjoys a brute majority with 202 seats.Earlier, speaking in the Assembly, Chaudhary said that Nitish Kumar played a decisive role in Lalu Prasad Yadav becoming Chief Minister and without support of Nitish Kumar, Lalu Prasad would not have become chief minister. He also informed the House that Bihar has got private investments worth Rs 1.36 lakh cr in last one year. Praising Nitish Kumar , Chaudhary said,"No one can replace Nitish Kumar from politics or from people’s hearts; he wanted me to become the Chief Minister of Bihar."

The opposition, led by RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav, did not demand a vote, following which the Speaker declared Samrat Choudhary's confidence motion passed by voice vote.Samrat Chaudhary launched a sharp attack on Tejashwi Yadav.
