In UP, an electrician died in a massive fire that broke out at Lotus Grandeur Banquet Hall in Noida Sector-74. Fifteen fire tenders were engaged in extinguishing fire. It took a long time to extinguish the fire as the structure was huge, said police.Noida DCP(Zone1) Ram Badan Singh said “At around 3:30am, we got information that fire broke out at Lotus Grandeur banquet hall in Noida Sector 74. A total of 15 fire tenders reached here. Fire has been brought under control. One electrician, Parminder lost his life in the fire...”

The exact cause of what caused the fire is yet to be ascertain.Chief Fire Officer Pradeep Kumar Chaubey said the hall's primarily wooden structure contributed to the rapid spread of the fire. It took the department nearly three hours to bring the fire under control.The same banquet hall caught fire on November 21 last year also.
