A post against CJI Surya Kant from the official Congress Keralam 'X' account went viral on Monday, drawing sharp criticism on social media, before being deleted. The party subsequently removed the person responsible from the post.In a statement, KPCC president Sunny Joseph said the person responsible for posting the controversial message against the Chief Justice of India on the party's official 'X' account had been removed from the charge. Joseph said the post was made without the knowledge, consent or consultation of the Kerala Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) leadership.
"The KPCC will examine the circumstances under which such a post was made," he said.
The BJP slammed the Congress for the remark, a screenshot of which was shared by Union parliamentary affairs minister Kiren Rijiju, saying that the party wants “Congress wants to destroy all the constitutional and democratic institutions of India. All Anti-India gangs are joining hands,” Rijiju said in a post on X.

The BJP lashed out at the Congress and alleged that the grand old party has now become "utterly brazen" in its bid to create anarchy in India by "dismantling" every constitutional institution. BJP spokesperson Sudhanshu Trivedi also attacked the opposition party over the issue and said, "Having completely transformed into a Maoist Congress of the Muslim League and embracing extreme 'dimaagi Naxal' mindset, the Congress has now become utterly brazen in its pursuit of creating anarchy in India by dismantling every constitutional institution." Trivedi said people of the country must now realise that the Congress and Gandhi have become the "greatest threat" to India's constitutional institutions and the Constitution.
The Supreme Court Bar Association strongly condemned the Kerala unit of the Congress party for sharing a post demanding the resignation of Chief Justice of India Surya Kant.
