Crime & corruption have become identity of the TMC: PM Modi

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday flagged off the various metro railway projects in Kolkata in line with his commitment to world-class infrastructure and developed urban connectivity. He visited the Jessore Road Metro Station, where he inaugurated the Noapara-Jai Hind Bimanbandar metro service from Jessore Road Metro Station and Sealdah Esplanade metro service and the Beleghata-Hemanta Mukhopadhyay metro service. He also undertaken a metro ride from Jessore Road Metro Station to Jai Hind Bimanbandar and back. The Sealdah-Esplanade metro will reduce the travel time between the two points from nearly 40 minutes to only 11 minutes. The Beleghata-Hemanta Mukhopadhyay metro section will play a crucial role in enhancing connectivity with the IT hub.

Later, launched a sharp attack on West Bengal's ruling Trinamool Congress in a public meeting in Kolkata, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said the atrocities against women in the state have increased. Crime and corruption have become the identity of the TMC government. Till the TMC is in power in the state, there will be no development, he said. Modi said, the real change will only come when the TMC is removed from power...Criminals and corrupt should be in jail, not in power."If a PM, CM or minister is jailed, there is no legal provision to dismiss them. And look how shameless people are that they run governments from inside the jail. A TMC minister is still in jail in the teacher recruitment scam. Yet the minister was not willing to relinquish his post," PM Modi said.

Modi said, the BJP believes that until West Bengal develops, the 'yatra' of 'Viksit Bharat' will not be successful...In the past 11 years, the central government has extended every possible help for the development of West Bengal...The money that the central government sends for the development of the state is being looted and is spent on the TMC cadre.
