The T20 World Cup-winning Indian team celebrated in style in Mumbai on Thursday. The Indian team led by Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli had a gala time in Mumbai, specifically at the packed Marine Drive and Wankhede Stadium where the fans gathered in numbers to get a glimpse of the stars.The Indian team took an open-bus parade through the Marine Drive and then celebrated with dance, and music inside the iconic Wankhede where India had won their ODI World Cup title in 2011 under the captaincy of MS Dhoni.The victory parade started near NCPA, at the southern tip of Marine Drive, around 7. 45 p.m. As the bus inched towards Wankhede Stadium, it was escorted by hundreds of police personnel.

BCCI office bearers present Team India with a cheque of Rs 125 Crores, at Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai.The BCCI announced a prize money of Rs 125 crores for India after the T20 world cup.
Team India landed in Mumbai via the Vistara flight from New Delhi. The flight had a special call sign - UK1845 - which included the jersey numbers of Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma who retired from T20Is after India's title win.

An ocean of humanity greeted the victory parade of the T20 World Cup winning Indian team in South Mumbai's Marine Drive as thousands of passionate fans gathered to catch a glimpse of their favourite stars, bringing the traffic to a complete standstill.The open bus parade, which was delayed by more than a couple of hours, started from the National Centre for Performing Arts (NCPA) in Nariman Point post 7:30pm and went till the Wankhede Stadium. The distance is covered usually in five minutes but it took more than one-and-a-half-hour as the players savoured the evening of their lives all drenched — not in rain but unadulterated love from their die-hard fans.
