Lewis Hamilton to remain with Mercedes F1 team

Seven time Formula One world champion Lewis Hamilton has signed a two-year contract extension keeping him at Mercedes in 2022 and 2023, the team said in a statement on Saturday. Mercedes announced that Hamilton will continue to drive under the banner in the 2022 and 2023 seasons, his 10th and 11th with the Brackley based team.

Hamilton's teammate for 2022 remains to be decided, with Finland's Valtteri Bottas out of contract and young Briton George Russell tipped to replace him.
