Preeti Pawar clinched the women's 54kg boxing gold medal after outclassing Canada's Scarlett Savannah Delgado with a commanding 5-0 unanimous decision in the final on Saturday, August 1. It was India’s sixth gold medal in this edition of the Games.The Indian boxer dominated all three rounds, with each of the five judges scoring every round in her favour.

Jaismine Lamboria defeated Michaela Walsh in the women’s 57 kg category to win the gold medal. She secured India’s seventh gold medal in the Commonwealth Games. The match took place right after Preeti’s gold medal contest. Notably, Jaismine also won by a unanimous decision. After the announcement, both athletes hugged and Jasmine even raised Walsh’s hand for her to take all the appreciation.

Meanwhile, Praveen Chithravel won silver while Selva Prabhu Thirumaran clinched bronze in the men's triple jump event. India's medal tally rose to 27, including seven gold, in CWG 2026.
