TMC’s days are numbered in Bengal, Congress divided Assam,PM Modi

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday attacked West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee for pursuing "appeasement and vote bank politics" which were responsible for infiltration.  He alleged the ruling TMC never considered Dalits, backwards and Adivasis its own, and these sections were the worst victims of cut money culture and 'Tolabaji' (extortion) by the state's ruling party, He also accused the Banerjee government of patronising underground Maoist rebels. In Bengal, the Centre was doing DBT or Direct Benefit Transfer, he said, "but in Bengal, it is TMC - Transfer My Commission".The PM accused the Trinamool government of betraying the tribals and the poor by depriving them of central benefits.

Addressing a public rally in West Bengal’s Purulia district PM Modi said the TMC’s days are numbered, and the countdown for its exit has begun.He said Banerjee raising questions over the Batla House encounter and Pulwama attack were the biggest examples of how far the TMC could go when it came to appeasement politics. “The people of Bengal have not forgotten whom you stood with after the Pulwama attack and made allegations against the army. No one has forgotten how Mamata and a few other parties had behaved when the [Batla House] encounter took place. These people stood with the terrorists at that time and raised questions on the encounter,” he said.

Later, in his first election rally in Karimnagar, PM Mpdi hit out at the Congress saying the party kept the people of Assam divided in all forms.  But the BJP government has been connecting the people at all fronts. We are not connecting the state just physically, but also connecting it culturally, PM Modi said. "The Congress has no leader, no policy and no ideology. How will form a stable government and ensure Assam's development?" he asked, adding that the Congress party is completely cut off from ground realities in the state and the situation within the Congress today is such that it can do anything for votes. The prime minister also questioned the Congress' decision of forming alliance with the Left front in Bengal but contesting against it in Kerala. "How can a party that is so unstable provide a stable government to Assam," he asked.
