Pawar misinforming people on farm laws, agri minister Tomar

Farm laws have become a political fight between the BJP led NDA government and the opposition, Former union agriculture minister Shrad Pawar criticuced the new laws and chraged that these laws will wind up mandi system. Pawar on Saturday, in his tweet said the new central laws will adversely affect the Minimum Support Price (MSP) and weaken the mandi system.

On Sunday, the present agriculture minister Narendra Singh Tomar responded to Pawar's critique of the new farm laws.He also tweet his replies. He said that under new ecosystem, mandis are not affected. Instead, they will be more competitive and cost effective in terms of services and infrastructure; and both the systems will synergistically co-exist for the common interest of farmers.Taking a swipe at the NCP chief, Narendra Singh Tomar said, "As he is such a veteran leader, I would like to believe that he was genuinely misinformed of the facts. He went on to add, "New Laws facilitate promotion of additional choice channel for farmers with choice to sell their produce to anyone, anywhere with hassle free movement in & outside the state to realize competitive & better net price for their produce. This doesn't affect the current MSP system."

Congress leader Digvijaya Singh on Sunday support Sharad Pawar and  asked the former Union Agriculture Minister to "drill some sense" into Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
