Over 70,000, mostly Congressmen, joined BJP in MP

BJP membership drive, ahead of assembly by-election, is set to create a history by registering over 70,000 new members from 16 assembly segments of Gwalior and Chambal region. Overjoyed with it’s rising popularity senior leaders claimed that BJP is the single largest political party in the world to achieve this milestone.
Addressing the gethring , Chief minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan took a jibe at congress amid present crisis arising from twitter post by Kapil Sibbal and letter signed by other leaders. As long as Rahul reins the helm of affairs of congress party, the BJP doesn’t have to bother much.   Chouhan maintained that congress is a family centric party which keeps swapping baton between the mother and son duo. On the contrary BJP has given at least a dozen presidents starting from Kushabhau Thakre to incumbent JP Naddha, said Chouhan. He also accused former chief minister Kamal Nath to follow the Gandhi’s suit of oneself. Chief Minister-Nath, state party president-Nath, now leader of opposition-Nath, leader of youth-his son Nakul Nath, while the state was A Nath meaning all the posts were held by Nath and his son Nakul Nath and state remained orphan, he added. 
 In his address, union minister Narendra Singh Tomar maintained that we will leave no stone unturned to work for development and welfare of people. The proposed Atal Behari Vajpayee progress way connecting MP from Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh will be a game changer towards development of this entire region. 

Member of Parliament Jyotiraditya Scindia attacked previous congress government led by Kamal Nath for misrule and corruption. I was never hankering for post or power. I could have accepted the post of deputy CM at the beginning. Congress had done exceptionally well in 2018 assembly election by winning 26 out 34 seats in Gwl/Chambal region. The people had lot of expectation from congress but they betrayed public trust amid dirty political game by duo of Nath and Digvijay Singh, he alleged. Scindia said the politics is just a medium to serve the people and not business for him.  Despite repeated reminders for development and welfare works by ministers and MLAs no heed was paid by Nath government. So we decided to pull the carpet  and make the KamalNath government fall. Confident Scindia appealed the BJP party workers to work in tandem to defeat congress in all assembly seats including 16 of Gwalior and Chambal region. 

Meanwhile congress was up in the arms to stall or disrupt the programme using various means from staging protest demonstration and legal course citing Covid protocol. In response to PIL filed by Hemant Rana in Gwalior bench of High Court, the Court directed the respective DM/SP to ensure adherence of Covid guideline issued by union government.  Earlier on Sunday Digvijay Singh had staged symbolic dharna near Samadhi sthal of Rani Laxmibai against BJP programme.
