Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant has alleged that the central government is trying to destabilize the economy of the state by not providing the due share of Jharkhand on GST. While addressing the media persons in Ranchi on Wednesday, Soren disclosed that state government is taking the moves of the central government in regard to GST very seriously. The state government will put its point on every platform with complete preparation on this subject.
Soren said that centre is making preparations to feed the entire nation with the resources of our state which will certainly jeopardize the interest of the poor state like Jharkhand .The Central Government alone gets a cess of Rs 5000 crore from the resources of Jharkhand. Despite having sufficient resources Jharkhand will have to face great economic crisis because of Centre's attitude towards GST. Mr Soren emphasized that the state will will not allow this to happen.
The Chief Minister said that many companies are engaged in illegal mining in the state without environmental clearance. The state government has started investigating this.Soren apprehended that huge amount has been sifoned off by these companies through illegal mining . The government is committed to better utilization of these natural resources.
In reply to a question the Jharkhand chief minister opined that Central government has miserably failed to bring economy back on track.The Chief Minister said that in the meeting of GST Council held in Delhi, the departmental minister of the state has made his point. The country's economy has collapsed. He expressed serious misgivings about the centre's plan . The worst thing is that, Soren opined that the central government is blaming God for all it's failures on economic front.
