BJP on Wednesday accused Congress of playing politics over the Lakhimpur Kheri violent incident. Talking to reporters in New Delhi, party spokesperson Sambit Patra criticised Congress leader Rahul Gandhi for questioning the government over the incident and alleged that he is trying to disrupt the law and order.Patra said irresponsibility has become the second name of Rahul Gandhi. He termed the incident as unfortunate saying farmers and administration have agreed to have an impartial probe in the matter. But the congress leader is trying to create unrest. The BJP Spokesperson alleged that, since Gandhi family is facing questions from many Congress leaders, they are using the Lakhimpur Kheri tragedy as an opportunity to save its sinking ship.
Rejecting the allegation of Gandhi that farmers of the country are being systematically attacked, Patra said the BJP government is doing what he called systematic development of the farmers by taking various measures. Earlier, Rahul Gandhi questioned the government over the Lakhimpur violence. He said the name of a Union Minister and his son is coming up in the incident but no action has been taken so far.
