Poll strategist Prashant Kishor took a jibe at the Congress party, calling for the selection of the party president in a democratic manner. Kishor said on Twitter that Congress leadership was not the divine right of an individual.
"The IDEA and SPACE that Congress represents is vital for a strong opposition. But Congress' leadership is not the DIVINE RIGHT of an individual especially when the party has lost more than 90 per cent elections in the last 10 years. Let opposition leadership be decided Democratically," Kishore said in his tweet.

He also pointed out that the party has lost more than 90 per cent elections in the last 10 years.
This comes a day after West Bengal chief minister Mamata Banerjee's attack on the Congress party, when she said in Mumbai that "there is no UPA". Banerjee made the remarks after meeting Sharad Pawar, the chief of NCP, an ally of Congress.
Kishor was roped in by Banerjee for the West Bengal assembly elections 2021, which resulted in her party Trinamool Congress' landslide victory.
